FestivalPass NFT Review: The Deal Of A Lifetime Nobody Is Talking About. Yet.

FestivalPass.com is challenging Ticketmaster’s dominance in live event ticketing with subscription tiers, zero ticketing fees and now lifetime NFTs.

I have too many subscriptions. It’s a problem. But also not really a problem. I’ll explain. I was bored one day in 2020 Googling things related to concerts and I stumbled upon FestivalPass.com; a new website that offers subscriptions to their platform where you get credits to redeem to book tickets to concerts, festivals, shows, events, and even hotel stays.

They recently began selling a limited number of utility NFTs that offer lifetime benefits to holders. All with no added ticketing fees. It’s a win-win.

FestivalFamily NFT Access

FestivalPass is now selling a total of 1000 NFT Founders lifetime “passes” for .95 ETH or roughly $1350 currently, which includes 1080 credits (worth approximately $1200, each credit is roughly $1.11; therefore 1080 credits x $1.1 = $1,188) annually to book tickets on FestivalPass.com. Credits can also be used for hotels. NFT holders will also gain access to various exclusive events annually only available to holders of the Founders NFT members.

The interesting thing about how FestivalPass is changing the landscape of live event ticketing is NFTs are minted once, so 1000 people will have the opportunity to own a pass that provides a lifetime of value to the platform. Compared to their subscription tiers (explained below) NFT credits refresh annually on the mint date, so be sure to use any credits by then or they will not roll over to the next year.

Essentially NFT purchasers are ‘breaking even’ after the first year, as long as you are going to attend a concert, festival, or hotel stay with a combined value of $1200. Consider booking your next concert tickets or hotel on FestivalPass with your NFT and you breakeven in roughly the first year.

FestivalPass Subscription Tiers

The core business model of FestivalPass is selling subscriptions to everyone, and there are different levels depending on how many events or how much the user wants to spend. $19 a month gets 15 credits a month, the $49 a month membership gets 41 credits each month, and the $99 a month membership tier gets 90 credits each month.

Credits never expire and can be saved up as long as needed to get whatever concert tickets the member may want to book. The platform has additional credit packages should you ever need to buy tickets that cost more than the credits you have available in your account.

Sample Bookings

Hotel bookings in your account can not be cancelled or modifed after booking. This is a major caveat that should be noted. Though receiving excellent rates and value with their memberships and even better value holding their lifetime Founders NFTs, should you book a hotel or tickets and can no longer attend you will lose out of the cost of those bookings made on FestivalPass, however. This is sad but understandable given their business model of creating predictable cashflow and maintaining margins when members don’t use their bookings.

Similar websites such as ClassPass, MoviePass, and GymPass have similar restrictions and booking rules and may not offer the most flexibility when it comes to changing plans later on.

Lifetime Value

I love their platform and have been watching it evolve and improve over the past year, and believe the future and especially 2023 brings many positive changes. FestivalPass is always listening to community feedback, partnering with great brands and other NFT communities, influencers, and has been increasingly in larger publications and podcasts and on larger YouTube channels, so I believe it is only a matter of time before their NFT offerings are no longer available.

I have attended handfuls of concerts, shows and multiple hotel stays booked through their website and highly recommend signing up for a subscription, free account at a minimum, or better yet minting their NFT while they are still available.
